Canadian town Picton collects more than $70,000 to rebuild school in Kyiv region

Community of small town Picton in southern Canada collected more than 102,000 Canadian dollars to restore school in Kyiv region destroyed by Russian invading forces.

The funds to help Ukraine were collected in the Canadian town Picton, 160 km from Toronto, where 4,700 people live. It is about the amount of 102,000 Canadian dollars or almost 2.8 million UAH. The community of the town will donate this money, in particular, to restoration of Ukrainian school and purchase of medical equipment.
According to the Koval, this is second major fundraising campaign in the town.
Yesterday, during Ukrainian evening, she addressed the community of Picton and thanked them for their support and fundraising for reconstruction of school in Kyiv region", the ambassador added.
