Bakhmut as "Stalingrad in reverse"?
The war criminal Girkin, who is also perhaps the most sane Russian military expert, considers the Battle of Bakhmut to be Stalingrad in reverse
In Stalingrad, the Soviet command managed to impose bloody, unpromising battles of attrition on the Wehrmacht while the Red Army was preparing powerful reserves for the offensive. German intelligence knew about the reserves, but the Wehrmacht high command did nothing because it despised the enemy and believed that it would win anyway.
Ukraine has now imposed on Muscovy a futile, incredibly costly battle in terms of equipment and people. At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are preparing reserves for an offensive with modern military equipment that is superior to Russia's.
Girkin believes that the Russian generals in the Battle of Bakhmut will surpass the conceit and arrogance of the German military leaders at Stalingrad.
If anyone needs a ray of hope right now, here it is. Yes, we are losing a lot in Bakhmut. But the enemy is losing many times more. Everything that happens in this massacre will have consequences. There is every reason to believe that the consequences for the enemy will be much more dramatic.
