Ukraine will be forced to retreat without US help, Zelenskyy admits
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine will have to retreat step by step if the United States does not resume military assistance
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this in an interview with The Washington Post.
“If there is no US support, it means that we have no air defense, no Patriot missiles, no jammers for electronic warfare, no 155-milimeter artillery rounds,” he said. “It means we will go back, retreat, step by step, in small steps,” Ukraine’s president said.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine is trying to find a way not to retreat. If the front remains stable, the military will be able to arm and train new brigades in the rear to launch a new counteroffensive this year.
