Russian troops in Kupyansk sector suffer 100 daily casualties in nighttime, weather-driven assaults
Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of Ukraine's 92nd Brigade's Achilles UAV Battalion, stated that efforts are ongoing to repel Russian attacks in the Kupyansk sector
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
“The active effort to repel enemy attacks continues. The Russian army now resorts to assault operations not only at dusk or dawn but is actively using nighttime and adverse weather conditions,” explained Fedorenko.
According to him, over 20 Russian soldiers were eliminated by the battalion last night on a narrow section of the front, highlighting the high intensity of the attacks.
“Overall, the Ukrainian Defense Forces in this area eliminate no fewer than 100 enemy soldiers daily, significantly reducing their ability to carry out combat missions. For instance, in one forested area where the leaves have already fallen, we used a drone to count 139 enemy bodies. This accumulation happened over some time, with the area densely scattered with their corpses. Yet despite this, the Russians continue to launch attacks,” Fedorenko said.
The commander of the Achilles Battalion also noted that Russia's earlier objective to advance and secure Kupyansk-Vuzlovyi by November 1 was not achieved. The timeline has now been pushed to early next year.
“Will the enemy be able to achieve their goal? In my conviction, with the support of the Ukrainian nation – no,” Fedorenko emphasized.
