EU's €50 billion aid: von der Leyen tells when Ukraine will start receiving funds
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has announced that Ukraine will receive the first tranche of the €50 billion Ukraine Facility program in March

The President of the European Commission noted that the political agreement on the program, concluded on the evening of February 5, is a major step forward.
"Europe is true to its word," she added.
Von der Leyen also emphasized that the EU will continue to provide much-needed and predictable funding to "our brave partner and aspiring member".
"We aim to start payments in March," the President of the European Commission emphasized.

On February 1, all 27 EU member states agreed to provide Ukraine with €50 billion in aid. Kyiv also expects to receive the first tranche of this package in March.
