AFU repel enemy attacks on 10 settlements, including Bakhmut and Marinka

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on the morning of January 26.

During the past day, January 25, the Ukrainian Defense Forces' aviation launched 14 strikes on Russian military positions and 2 strikes on the positions of anti-aircraft missile systems.

In turn, units of missile troops and artillery hit 1 of the Russian troops' control points, 12 military positions, and 4 munitions depots during the day.

In addition, 2 enemy Su-25 aircraft, a Ka-52 helicopter, 4 UAVs of the Orlan-10 type, as well as one of the Supercam type were destroyed.

Also, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Chervopopivka, Luhansk region, and Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Rozdolivka, Blahodatne, Bakhmut, Klishchiivka, Marinka, Vuhledar and Pavlivka, Donetsk region.

Invading Russian forces launched 32 airstrikes and 10 missile strikes on Ukraine last day

During January 25, the enemy launched 37 airstrikes and 10 missile strikes, in particular, on the civilian infrastructure of Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia. The Russian troops also launched 97 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems, hitting residential buildings in Kherson. 

According to preliminary information, on the night of January 26, the Russian forces used 24 Iranian Shahed-136 attack drones. All of them were destroyed by the Ukrainian Defense Forces. 

There is a great danger of further Russian air and missile attacks on the entire territory of Ukraine.

The Russian troops don't stop their offensive in the Bakhmut and Vuhledar directions

Suffering numerous losses, the enemy does not stop offensive actions in the Bakhmut and Vuhledar directions. The invading forces conducted unsuccessful offensives in the Lyman and Avdiivka directions. In the Kupyansk, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian troops are defending. 

Near the state Ukrainian border with Belarus and Russia, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and enemy offensive groups have not been detected.

At the same time, the Russian forces continued shelling the entire line of contact: 3 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 3 more in the Sumy region, as well as 20 villages and cities in the Kharkiv region were under enemy fire. 

Shelling of Ukrainian regions 

In the Kupyansk direction, 4 settlements in the Kharkiv region and one more in the Luhansk region were affected by the fire.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy shelled the Ukrainian troops' positions in the areas of the 6 settlements. 

In Bakhmut direction, 22 settlements of the Donetsk region were damaged by enemy fire. 

In the Avdiivka direction, 7 settlements of the Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

In the Vuhledar direction, the Russian troops shelled 3 settlements in the Donetsk region.

In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the areas of 25  settlements were affected by tank and artillery fire. 

In the Kherson direction, the invading Russian forces continue to shell peaceful towns and villages, injuring civilians. 20 settlements were damaged by enemy fire. 

Russia is planning the mass mobilization in Crimea at the end of February

In the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Russian forces are conducting preparatory measures for the next wave of mobilization.

So, by January 29 of the current year, all so-called state and private institutions must submit lists of persons for reservation to military commissariats. The next mass mobilization wave is planned for the end of February.

At the same time, from February 1 of this year, all repair and construction work at budget enterprises and institutions will be stopped, and all planned funds will be redirected to support armed aggression against Ukraine.

• On the night of January 26, an air alert was triggered in a number of regions, in particular in Kyiv. The Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down enemy drones that attacked Ukraine.
