Russia's night attack. Air defense has worked in many regions, downing Shahed drones
On January 26, air alerts were declared in many Ukrainian regions, including Kyiv. Defense forces shot down Russian drones

It is now known that the Defense Forces destroyed all 24 Shahed drones launched by the Russian forces.
Mykolaiv region
Earlier, the head of the Mykolaiv regional administration, Vitalii Kim, wrote that three Iranian kamikaze drones had been spotted in the sky over the region. However, at 00:12, the alarm was canceled in the area.
Mykolaiv mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych added that three Russian Tu-22M3 bombers were also in the air.
Kharkiv region
The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Synyehubov, reported the danger of missile strikes.
Dnipropetrovsk region
The head of the local administration, Mykola Lukashuk, also reported "shaheds" in the airspace over the Dnipro region.
Later, Lukashuk added that Russia had hit an industrial enterprise: "There is a hit to an industrial enterprise. No casualties."
Kyiv and the region
About 15 Russian drones were shot down in Kyiv's airspace at night
"At night, Kyiv suffered another Russian air attack. Russian forces attacked the capital with several dozen Shahed drones barrage munitions. About 15 Russian UAVs were shot down in the airspace. We are grateful to our air defense forces for another excellent job!" said Serhiy Popko, the head of the Kyiv City State Administration.
No casualties and no hits to infrastructure objects
He claims there is a high probability of further Russian air attacks during the day.
"That is why we do not lose our vigilance. If an air raid is announced, go to the shelters. Take care of yourself and your loved ones!" advises Popko.
At night, the Kyiv regional military administration wrote about the threat of an air attack. They asked not to ignore the air raid alert. Later, the Kyiv regional administration reported on the work of air defense.
Cherkasy region
The Cherkasy regional administration also reported on air defense operations.
