AFU liberate 12 settlements in Kherson direction over November 9
The Ukrainian army continues to advance in the Kherson direction. On November 9, they liberated 12 settlements in the region

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared the information in the morning briefing on November 11.
On November 9, 2022, Ukrainian troops liberated 12 settlements in the course of successful offensive in the Kherson direction. The settlements are Dudchany, Pyatykhatky, Borozenske, Sadok, Bezvodne, Ishchenka, Kostromka, Krasnoliubetsk, Kalynivske, Bobrovyi Kut, Bezimenne and Blahodatne.
"Offensive in the named direction is ongoing. Not to compromise the operation, the official announcement of its results will come later," the General Staff emphasizes.
- On November 9, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced that Russian troops were withdrawing to the left bank of the Kherson region. The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine commented on the possible withdrawal of the Russian army from Kherson, noting that "Russia cannot be trusted."
- Mykhailo Podolyak, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said that Ukraine sees no signs that Russian troops are leaving Kherson without a fight. The experts noted that Russian forces no longer have convenient positions in the Kherson region where they could set a trap for Ukrainian Armed Forces.
- On November 10, the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, announced that Ukraine has already liberated 41 settlements in the south. And Ukrainian sappers have already cleared almost half of the 300,000 km2 mined by Russian soldiers.
- Vadym Skibitskyi, the representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine, noted that there are still about 20,000 occupiers left in the Kherson region and they may be ordered to "defend" the city. And the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksii Reznikov, emphasized that Russia needs at least a week to withdraw from Kherson.
- On the night of November 11, Operational Command South have also said that the situation in their direction remains tense, and the Armed Forces continue to advance to Dnipro’s left bank.
