41 settlements are liberated in South - Zelenskyy

This was stated in the evening address by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"Today, we have good news from the South. There are already dozens of Ukrainian flags returning to their rightful place as part of the ongoing defence operation. 41 localities were liberated. Thank you to all our heroes who ensure this promotion," the appeal reads.

The president stressed that, while rejoicing, everyone should remember now and always what this movement means.

"Every step of our Ukrainian Defense Forces is the life of our soldiers. Lives that are given for freedom for Ukrainians. Everything that is happening now has been achieved through months of fierce struggle. Achieved by bravery, pain, and loss. It is not the Russian forces who are leaving. The Ukrainians are driving the invaders away at a high price.

They are driving away in the Kharkiv region east of our country. In Kyiv, Sumy and Chernihiv regions are in the North. In the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, they are driving now. We must go all the way, on the battlefield and in diplomacy. So that all over our land, along our internationally recognized border, are our Ukrainian flags. And never again any Russian tricolours," Zelenskyy said.
