27,137 cases of war crimes committed by Russian forces in Ukraine documented
Yevhen Zakharov, head of the board of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, has said that since Russia launched the full-scale invasion, more than 27,137 cases of war crimes committed by Russians have been recorded
He shared the information with Espreso TV.
"The UN states that more than 7,000 Ukrainian civilians have died since the beginning of the Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. In our database, which we maintain as part of the initiative called Tribunal for Putin, more than 6,200 cases of Ukrainian citizens dying as a result of Russian aggression have been documented. To date, we have also identified and recorded 27,170 incidents, which we classify as war crimes committed by the Russian military," Zakharov said.
The analyst also emphasized that there are a large number of cases of Russian forces abducting Ukrainians.
"It should also be noted that we have recorded a very large number of disappearance cases of Almost 3,050 cases of disappearance on the temporarily occupied territories have been recorded in our database. This indicates that the abduction of civilians is an element of Russia's occupation policy," he added.
