Zelenskyy’s visit is huge event in Poland - Espreso correspondent Zalewska
In Poland, the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska is considered a great event - the whole world looks at them as a symbol of invincibility, and this symbol is coming to Poland
Bianca Zalewska, Espreso's special correspondent in Poland, said this on air.
"Zelenskyy's visit to Poland is a very, very big event. I was even a little surprised that there was much less information about this visit in Ukraine, but I realized that there is much more important and difficult information in Ukraine every day," she said.
Zalewska added that in Poland, this has been the number one topic for the last two days.
"The president is planning to meet with Poles and Ukrainians in a large space. There should be two thousand people there. There will be screens nearby for people who will not be able to get to this square to watch the broadcast. Everyone is waiting for Zelenskyy's speech, which is very important for Poles. We have never been as close as we are now. Many Ukrainians live and work here. We meet every day as neighbours. This meeting has two dimensions - symbolic and practical, everyone is waiting for the signing of documents," the journalist emphasized.
She said that Poland is now very excited about the visit of the President of Ukraine and his wife.
is is a great event for the Poles. One has to admit that you have a very courageous president and his wife. The whole world looks at them as a symbol of invincibility and this symbol is coming to Poland. I think we can be proud of this," Zalewska summarized.
On the morning of April 5, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived on an official visit to Poland, where he met with his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda.
