US military assistance will bring real changes to Ukraine on the battlefield against the occupying Russian army

US State Department spokesman Vedant Patel made the statement, Ukrinform reports.

Vedant Patel said that the US knew these were challenging times, but they were confident that military aid would also make a real difference on the battlefield.

He noted that the $2 billion aid package announced by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken during his visit to Ukraine will go not only to the Defence Enterprise Programme, but also to further strengthen the capabilities of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

On 15 May, the US announced that it would provide $2 billion in aid to Ukraine. The aid will also include a fund for defense companies.
