According to the National Security and Defense Council's Center for Countering Disinformation, disinformation and manipulation appeared in the world on June 12.

Disinformation: American analyst Brian Berletic wrote on X: "The US to openly arm Ukraine's Nazi Azov Brigade.”

Rebuttal: The claim that the Azov Brigade consists of Nazis is a defamatory narrative invented by Russian propaganda to demonize Ukrainian volunteers who are defending their country and people from Russian fascists.

Manipulation: Commenting on the authorization of Western countries to use their weapons on Russian territory, American journalist Danny Haiphong said: "We are entering a period of absolute nuclear destruction potential that we have never seen before, and it's not Russia's fault, it's NATO's fault, it's the United States' fault. And you better believe that if there is a power that will use nuclear weapons, it will be the United States and NATO. This is all a provocation.”

Rebuttal: This is another attempt to discredit Western support for Ukraine and demonize its allies. In fact, it is Russia that is escalating the war against Ukraine and resorting to nuclear blackmail of the civilized world. Instead, Ukraine, with the help of its Western partners, is defending itself against Russian aggression and preventing it from spreading to the rest of Europe.
