According to the diplomat, it would be foolish and irresponsible not to learn the lessons of the Ukrainian war.
"We can talk about joint production (of drones - ed.). It seems that Ukrainians are interested in possibly moving part of the production to Lithuania. With our help, and perhaps partially for themselves, if we could provide them with the necessary drones," the minister said.
He noted that UAVs are a daily participant in the war.
"Lithuania can learn from the experience. We are well aware that if we are preparing for war, it may be similar due to geography and other circumstances. This experience is relevant for us," the diplomat summarized.
- Since October 2013, damaged Leopard 2 tanks delivered from the Ukrainian battlefields have been repaired in a workshop in Jonava.
- On December 15, it became known that Lithuania had repaired and was ready to hand over Leopard tanks that had been damaged on the battlefield to Ukraine. The number of these tanks is not specified.
