Lithuania repairs for Ukraine first Leopard 2 tanks damaged in combat
Lithuania has repaired and is ready to hand over to Ukraine Leopard tanks that were damaged on the battlefield. The number of these tanks is not specified
This is reported by the press service of the Lithuanian Defense Ministry.
“The first Leopard 2 tanks repaired in Lithuania are gearing up for their journey to Ukraine!” the message says.
On Friday, the repaired tanks, which will soon return to the battlefield in Ukraine, were demonstrated at the Lithuanian Army's training ground in Gaižiūnai (Jonava district).
"Lithuania has consistently supported Ukraine's struggle for independence and not only sends military support, but also helps to repair Leopard tanks, which are extremely necessary on the battlefield. Today we can see how the repaired and revitalized powerful tank looks like, which will soon be returned to Ukraine," Delfi quoted Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas as saying.
He did not specify how many tanks were repaired in Lithuania.

The tanks are being repaired in Lithuania by Little Defense Services (LDS). This is a joint venture established last year by two of the largest manufacturers of military equipment in Europe, the German companies Rheinmetall and Krauss-Maffei Wegmann, which supply weapons to NATO countries. It was created to maintain and repair combat vehicles in service with NATO allies deployed in the Baltic Sea region.
Since October of this year, damaged Leopard 2 tanks delivered from the Ukrainian battlefields have been repaired in a workshop in Jonava.
- In November, the Lithuanian Armed Forces handed over 3 million rounds of 7.62×51 mm ammunition, remote detonation systems, and winter gear to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
