Megan Fox criticized for “Ukrainian blow-up doll" comment
American model and actress Megan Fox said that in an unflattering photo she looks like “a Ukrainian blow-up doll.” She was accused of xenophobia
She posted a statement on Instagram.
In response to accusations of appearing unnatural in a photo from a celebration at the Zouk nightclub in Las Vegas and speculation about using beauty injections, 37-year-old American star Megan Fox decided to address the matter with a joke. The actress and model shared additional photos from the same party featuring singer Taylor Swift, refuting claims that she looked different. Furthermore, in reference to the previous unflattering photo, Fox remarked that she looked like a Ukrainian silicone sex doll.
"Oh my god guys look how different i…don't look at all. Turns out it was just a shadowy cell phone pic of me looking like a Ukrainian blowup doll. When in REALITY I look like one of those super expensive silicone real sex dolls you can only get in Japan," Megan captioned the photos.
In response, Fox was accused of xenophobia.
"It's very rude of you to talk about Ukrainian women like that, that's how you showed yourself," one user wrote in a comment that received over 5,500 likes.

Fox then tried to justify herself, saying that she meant no harm by saying this about Ukrainian women, but rather a compliment.
"Dear God. That is NOT what I meant. Ukrainian women are hot af, and so in my imagination the blowup dolls would also be hot. Let a girl make a joke," the celebrity replied.
This is not the only comment that Fox expressed outrage over. Her words were called "mockery of Ukrainian women" and "xenophobia towards Eastern Europe." The caption to the photo was characterized as "a terrible message to women" and emphasized that against the backdrop of Russia's war against Ukraine and Russian war crimes against civilians, it looks heartless.
"This is indifferent against the backdrop of the situation in the country. Besides, it is widely known that sexual crimes are common war crimes, which makes the joke inappropriate. There is a time and a place for everything, but this is not the case," added another Megan follower.
