Speaking to PolskieRadio, Tusk responded to a question about Donald Trump's recently proposed peace plan, noting that it is likely still in the early stages of preparation. He suggested that in the near future, we could expect declarations on the timeline for a ceasefire, the specific border it would involve, and the security guarantees that might be offered to Ukraine.
Tusk also expressed his belief that Washington will push for decisions that result in less U.S. involvement in Ukraine's affairs. However, he emphasized that any decisions related to the war in Ukraine cannot be made "over the heads of the Ukrainians, or over ours," referring to the importance of considering the interests and sovereignty of all parties involved.
- The Wall Street Journal recently reported that advisors to the U.S. President-elect Donald Trump have proposed several options for ending the war in Ukraine.
