White House announces purpose of Biden's visit to Poland
US President Joe Biden plans to visit Poland to express gratitude for supporting Ukraine, as well as to confirm the unity of NATO
This was stated by the National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby, RBC-Ukraine reports.
"Poland is a staunch ally, a huge supporter of Ukraine and has generously hosted not only American troops, but also millions of Ukrainian refugees," Kirby said, commenting on the purpose of the US president's upcoming visit.
According to him, Joe Biden is really looking forward to this trip. He also emphasized that the United States fully appreciates the support of the Poles.
"President Biden wants to thank the President of Poland and the Polish people personally," he added.
Kirby also said that during his visit to Europe, the US President intends to emphasize the importance of further unity within NATO in response to Russian aggression.
