Geopolitical statements are expected from Biden's visit to Poland - international expert Kraiev
Oleksandr Kraiev, expert at the Ukrainian Prism Foreign Policy Council, hopes that the US president may say something more radical and counter-Russian during his visit to Poland, which could really change the situation
He expressed his opinion on Espreso TV.
The expert of the Ukrainian Prism Foreign Policy Council commented on the planned visit of US President Joe Biden to Poland on February 20-22.
“For us, every visit is important in one way or another, especially if it concerns problematic countries, so to speak, with the existing pro-Russian lobby. If it's a visit to a country with which we have difficulties in cooperation, that's one thing. And when we talk about Biden's visit to Poland, it is a geopolitical agenda,” the international expert said.
Oleksandr Kraiev recalled Biden's last speech in Poland, which was actually called the Fulton speech (a speech by former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in the town of Fulton (Missouri, USA) in 1946, which started the Cold War - ed.). This was not a difficult audience to work with, because we know how close the ties between Poles and Americans are, and we also know how pro-Ukrainian both are.
“Accordingly, this is not a visit to solve anything. Therefore, we should rather expect geopolitical statements, namely a confirmation of the current course of the US presidential administration, that they are with Ukraine to the end and in everything, or, as I personally hope, something more radical, something more counter-Russian, which can really change the situation,” Kraiev said.
