West sends signals to Russian elite - Piontkovsky
Washington-based political analyst Andrey Piontkovsky believes Russia's elites should accept the G8 ultimatum and withdraw all Russian troops from Ukraine
He said this on Espreso TV.
“There is no way out for war, for Putin. The West emphasizes this with all its actions. Putin is called a war criminal in the official documents of the G8. Work is underway to organize an international war crimes tribunal. The eyes of the Dutch investigators investigating the downing of the Boeing have finally been opened. Investigators have come to the conclusion that on Putin's orders, the Buk was sent from Russia to Donbas. This was obvious from the very beginning. We already know the names of the entire Buk team, the entire chain of command up to the air defense commander,” Piontkovsky said.
The political scientist also added that when Buk was crossing the border, it was necessary to coordinate the actions of the army leadership and the FSB leadership.
“Border crossing is a function of the FSB. Putin is the sole head of these two institutions. That is, what the Dutch investigators came to was clear to any person with logical thinking. The fact that they have come to such conclusions today indicates that such signals are being sent by the West to the entire Russian elite, to the entire Russian environment. If you give up Putin, we will somehow be constructive in sharing your current responsibility. That is, the entire elite has a way out of the situation - to accept the G8 ultimatum and withdraw all troops from the territory of Ukraine,” Piontkovsky emphasized.
