West is afraid of Russia's defeat and cannot allow it - public figure Pekar
Valeriy Pekar, a public figure, entrepreneur, and lecturer at the Kyiv Mohyla Business School, believes that the West is afraid of Russia's defeat and cannot allow it to happen.
He spoke about this on the Espreso TV channel.
"If the West agrees to Russia's defeat, it must provide Ukraine with the necessary weapons, impose sanctions and organize the necessary diplomatic support. The armed forces must be equipped, then they will achieve better results. Zaluzhnyi has described well what the Ukrainian army needs. Between the lines one can read that no more aid is being provided because the West is afraid that Russia will be defeated," Pekar said.
If the allies agree that without Russia's defeat, the war is endless and the escalation continues, there could be an exchange of nuclear strikes, the beginning of China's aggression, Russian aggression against NATO countries, and so on.
"To avoid this, it is necessary to defeat Russia. This requires appropriate weapons and sanctions support, and with these resources, Ukraine together with its allies will win. Then political changes will take place in Russia and this will ensure sustainable peace, including punishment of criminals, compensation for damages and other important measures," the public figure explained.
According to him, now it is necessary to convince Ukraine's allies that the defeat of Russia is the only way to Ukraine's victory and the end of the war, and there are no other options.
"Russia's defeat should lead to a serious political reformation of Russia. This is not just about replacing President Putin with "another Putin" or some pseudo-liberal who wants to continue the imperial life. Russia must suffer a serious defeat," Pekar added.
