Ukrainian troops not only repel all attacks in Bakhmut area, but keep initiative on frontline - military
Major Rodion Kudriashov, deputy commander with the 3rd Detached Assault Brigade, says that the situation in the Bakhmut direction is dynamic, but fully controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The situation in Bakhmut is very dynamic, but fully controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The weather conditions have now more or less leveled off. Stable weather allows us to use all the mechanisms used at the front line. Both the Russian troops and the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to improve their tactical and operational situation. The defense forces do not let them do this, and in some cases they are resorting to counterattacks, assault and raid operations," noted Kudriashov.
According to the deputy commander with the 3rd Detached Assault Brigade, Russia's attack potential in the Bakhmut direction was neutralized due to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' successful actions.
"The Russian army tried to break the defense lines of the Defense Forces. These were hostile actions involving equipment and infantry, as well as nighttime attempts by Russian special forces to seize our positions. All these measures were fruitless for them. We can state that we have not only repelled all attacks, but also continue to hold the initiative at the forefront. We can see all Russia's movements, all the accumulations and concentrations of its forces. We can see their logistics, which helps us control the situation and inflict fire damage on the Russian enemy," emphasized Kudriashov.
