War deprived Ukrainians of any sentiment towards Russia

Putin lost not only what he was after - support and ratings in Russia, but also Russian sympathizers in Ukraine

What mega-useful thing did this war do to Ukrainians - it deprived many Ukrainian Russophiles of various  calibers of sentiment towards Russia, from meek "cultural" human to stubborn imperial warriors.

The sentiment of Ukrainians towards Russia was based on many things and most of the sympathies towards Russia were based on the legacy of the USSR - "culture" - geopolitics - militarism - youth.

Yes, Ukraine is part of the former USSR, and we have a lot of people nostalgic for it, and they are completely synchronized with the same ones in Russia. And given the fact that Russia is the legal successor of the USSR, it also inherited part of the nostalgia for this state entity.

But it was profitable for Russia to lie down and pretend to be a mirage. As soon as it "got up from its knees" and showed activity, the illusions were immediately dispelled. Rather, Russia stood up, but the illusions never succeeded. Russia did not have anything majestic from what fans wanted.

The great descendants of the Russian ballet and Dostoevsky shitted, I'm sorry, in occupied apartments, raped, stole toilets, and not all of them saw asphalt and lighting in the villages and wrote without mistakes. And those who fight against them in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are often better acquainted with the works of their classics simply because of better education.

The great strategist and "the winner" Putin turned out to be a blind autocrat who ignored common sense and logic and got stuck up to his neck in the mud.

And no one likes those who lose. And this applies not only to Russia. History knows many examples when an unsuccessful war or a military operation buried the career of the presidents of major countries, and, on the contrary, a successfully conducted one - rapidly raised low ratings.

Russia did not win a brilliant victory, and Putin lost not only what he was after - support and ratings in Russia, but also Russian sympathizers in Ukraine. No one wants to be on the side of the army and the country against which thousands of annoying memes have been generated over the past 8 months, and which itself has turned from a "geopolitical" titan into a laughing stock.

Meek "cultural" Russophiles received a shock from Russian tanks, bombs and missiles, and the stubborn imperialists were no less shocked by the fact that these tanks, bombs and missiles turned out to be not so scary and effective. And a few HIMARS can stop and freeze an entire armada of Russian soldiers.

Ukrainians suddenly turned out to be not the humble buckwheat growers but talented cutthroats, who gathered all the sympathies of those who drooled from power and influence. And in Ukraine, and in the world, and even in Russia itself. Some Russians traditionally want to be winners, but their own army brings only burning shame, so they switched to cheering for the Ukrainian army.
