Putin is unable to regain control of situation and Russia's border territories
Kremlin propaganda is trying to absolve dictator Vladimir Putin of responsibility for the chaos at the Russian border
This is reported by Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation.
In a speech to the FSB board, Vladimir Putin emphasized the crucial role of the service in "maintaining order" in the Russian border area. The Russian dictator used a number of disinformation theses to point to the "culprits" in the situation near the border with Ukraine.
According to the Russian dictator, "foreign mercenaries" allegedly financed and supported by the West are to blame for the situation in the Belgorod region.
The Kremlin leader calls on the FSB to step up anti-terrorism activities.
"Putin's statements signal a new stage in the growing influence of the special services in Russia. The dictator, unable to regain control of the situation and the border areas, is actually giving the FSB carte blanche to suppress any resistance within Russia in order to avoid a coup," the Center for Countering Disinformation writes.
- The day before, dictator Vladimir Putin announced his desire to create a so-called sanitary zone in Ukraine, which would be beyond the reach of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
- Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said that the sanitary zone should be made on the territory of the Russian Federation.
