The Wall Street Journal wrote this.
In the coming days, the Biden's administration plans to give a separate name to the US military mission to support Ukraine, which will mean a transition from one-time training and assistance efforts to multi-year ones.
The Wall Street Journal points out that the name of the operation formally recognizes the US effort, following the example of how the Pentagon previously called the missions in Iraq and Afghanistan operations Iraqi Freedom, Indomitable Freedom, and Guardian of Freedom.
According to the publication's experts, this is of great bureaucratic significance, as it will involve long-term targeted funding.
In addition, the Ukrainian mission will be headed by a two- or three-star general.
