US Air Force commander says when Ukraine can receive F-16 fighters
General James Hacker, commander of the US Air Force in Europe and Africa, says that Ukraine will receive F-16 aircraft in two to three years after the relevant political decision is made.
Politico reports.
According to him, Ukraine will be able to receive F-16 fighters in two to three years after the political decision on their supply is made. Hacker explained that such terms are related to issues of pilot training and logistics.
The general added that currently Western countries begin to think about Russia's war against Ukraine in the long term and plan military aid accordingly. According to Hacker, the fighting in Ukraine could last years, not months.
According to the commander of the US Air Force, Kyiv now has everything necessary for defense thanks to the help of the West, so that the war in Ukraine does not turn into the Third World War. In particular, the US helps Ukraine with intelligence information. At the same time, Hacker emphasized that Washington is not engaged in the selection of targets.
