This is evidenced by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology’s survey.

There is a notable shift in the group of people who firmly believe the direction is unquestionably correct, with their proportion decreasing from 32% to 17%. Nonetheless, it's reported that the majority of Ukrainians still maintain a positive outlook regarding the country's trajectory.

At the same time, the number of those who believe that things in Ukraine are going in the wrong direction has increased from 16% to 29%.

Regardless of their place of residence, roughly the same percentage of the population (58-61%) believes that things in Ukraine are going in the right direction. At the same time, in all regions, 27-31% of the population believe that things are going in the wrong direction.

Changes in the level of trust among respondents in the Armed Forces, the President, the Government, the Parliament, and volunteers

In the period from May 2022 to October 2023, the Ukrainian Armed Forces and volunteers have sustained a high level of trust among the Ukrainian population. Currently, 94% of Ukrainians have confidence in the Armed Forces, a slight decrease from 98% in May 2022, while 87% continue to trust volunteers, with this figure remaining consistent with the May 2022 data.

Over the same period, there has been a decline in trust in central government: the number of those who trust the president has decreased from 91% to 76%, the government from 74% to 39%, and the parliament from 58% to 21%.

The survey concludes that the balance of trust and distrust in the government and parliament has become distinctly negative, while the balance for the president remains positive, as most people continue to trust him.

The level of trust in local authorities has remained unchanged: as in May 2022, 50% of people now trust them, while 46% do not trust them.

Also, between May 2022 and October 2023, there was a drop in the level of trust in the United News telethon. Despite this, the marathon still has a positive balance of trust and distrust, although the number of those who trust it has decreased from 69% to 48%, and the number of those who distrust it has increased from 12% to 39%.
