Ukrainian aviation is operational, despite Russia claiming to have destroyed it last year - Syrysky
Ukrainian Armed Forces Land Forces Commander Oleksandr Syrsky says that Ukrainian aviation continues to strike Russian forces wherever necessary, despite Russia claiming to have destroyed it last year
Oleksandr Syrsky made the statement on Telegram.
The Commander of the Land Forces reminded that in the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion, it counted on the destruction of Ukrainian aviation. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian pilots continue to strike at Russian forces wherever necessary.
"Supporting the units of the Eastern Defense Forces, our pilots demonstrate courage and high skill while performing combat missions. Air strikes are a significant firepower and moral and psychological support to the units that are heroically holding the frontline," added Oleksandr Syrsky.
He emphasized that the Ukrainian army aviation, despite the powerful counteraction of the Russian air defense, continuously and reliably inflicts significant losses on the Russian army.
"In this video, you can see the combat work of the units of the 16th and 18th Army Aviation Brigades against enemy troops in the eastern direction," the commander explained.
