Ukrainian Armed Forces begin to pressure Russian soldiers in Zaporizhzhia sector - regional council deputy Ashurbekov
Askad Ashurbekov, deputy of Zaporizhzhia regional council, noted that occupiers took defensive positions in Zaporizhzhia sector
He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"In the Zaporizhzhia sector, the occupiers have taken up defensive positions. They are no longer advancing, but are trying to restrain the Armed Forces. The Ukrainian Armed Forces, on the contrary, are gradually pushing the occupiers. The fact that the occupiers are shelling the civilian infrastructure of Zaporizhzhia region indicates that the enemy fears a possible Ukrainian offensive. When the Russians have no success on the front line, they start hitting civilian infrastructure," Ashurbekov noted.
The deputy of Zaporizhzhia regional council also added that the situation in the Zaporizhzhia sector is tense every day, the number of attacks is not decreasing.
"The enemy attacked Orikhiv and Hulyaypole in daylight. Multi-storey buildings, private houses and civilian infrastructure suffered serious damage. The occupiers are chaotically shelling the towns, knowing that the local population remains there," Ashurbekov emphasized.
