Ukrainian airline SkyUp to operate in US market
SkyUp Airlines has received permission to fly in the United States of America
This was reported by the company's press service.
"An important goal for the international development of the brand has been achieved. I am proud of the team, their professional approach and perseverance in achieving results. Also, on behalf of the company, I express my sincere gratitude to the competent US government agencies for their trust and the opportunity to work in the United States," CEO Dmitro Sieroukhov said.
The airline has been certified according to three criteria: permission to operate as an air carrier in the United States (DOT approval), security compliance (TSA), and Part 129 (FAA) operating specifications.
It is planned to develop ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) services and charter flights in the new market.
On 6 May, SkyUp MT received the certificates and licences required to operate flights to the EU and registered its office in Malta, which will allow it to launch regular flights from Europe in the future.
