Ukraine's priority is purchasing 200 UAVs for reconnaissance - Yurii Shchyhol
The head of Ukraine's State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection, Yurii Shchyhol, says that Ukraine's Armed Forces need thousands of civilian drones
He shared this information with Espreso TV.
"Our team works all over the world and we purchase drones from all the manufacturers in the world. We test them, study them. No drone is purchased untested. If we are talking about military drones, first the manufacturers give them to us for testing, we check whether they resist the Russians' electronic warfare and only after that we buy them", he said.
Shchyhol added that Ukraine's first priority is to purchase 200 professional military reconnaissance drones, such as Fly Eye or similar ones.
"We need thousands of civilian drones, which only yesterday were someone's hobby. They are needed on all lines of defense and our task is to equip every smallest unit of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with them so that we can save the lives of our soldiers. This is the most valuable thing we have", the official concluded.
