"Absolutely all countries will now be engaged in the development of tanks, because this war showed how tanks began to be used in quite unusual situations. Tanks were often used by us as artillery units, that is, 2-3 tanks can perform the tasks of artillery and fire at long ranges." - explained the retired lieutenant colonel.

Mykola Salamakha noted that such examples were particularly vivid during the defense of Kyiv, when several tank groups of Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out artillery raids on enemy crossings in various places.

"Not only did artillery work, but also did tanks. This was because the protection of tanks is much better than that of self-propelled artillery installations. And when the enemy opened fire in return, the chances of staying alive were much greater for the tank crews than for the gunners," the expert in armored vehicles noted.
