Ukrainian soldiers most eager to learn unmanned systems: Army+ survey
Army+ has completed a survey on online training and preferred areas of military education. The majority of Ukrainian defenders expressed a preference for training in unmanned systems
This was reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.
According to the survey, 16% of the military prioritized unmanned systems as their main topic for training, while 12% chose leadership, and 11% selected tactics.
Additionally, 54% of respondents reported taking online courses in military affairs at least once a year. One in three mentioned “online career advancement” as their motivation for participating in these courses.
The defenders also mentioned distance learning of a military specialty and monetary incentives for good results as reasons for motivation.
“It is important for us to know the opinion of the military on most issues in the army. In this first survey, we saw what topics we need to focus on in the next version of Army+, which will include comprehensive online training for the military. In particular, we are talking about unmanned systems. And we are already preparing these courses for our defenders,” said Deputy Minister of Defense for Digitalization Kateryna Chernohorenko.
The Army+ app, developed by Ukraine's Ministry of Defence, aims to streamline the lives of military personnel by reducing paperwork and enabling more efficient use of their time. Among the most sought-after features are applications for leave and healthcare benefits. Army+ also includes surveys to provide the state with a clear understanding of the military's needs and requests.
