The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine and the State Bureau of Investigation reported this.

"The State Bureau of Investigation, in cooperation with the Security Service of Ukraine, served a notice of suspicion to Putin's oligarch, president of CSKA Moscow, Yevgeny Giner, who built two thermal power plants in occupied Crimea and supplied the Russian army with ammunition," the statement says.

It is reported that Giner is a native of Kharkiv.

The investigation established that in 2019, the defendant, through a company controlled by him, ensured the construction of the Balaklava (Sevastopol CCPP) and Tavriya TPP (Simferopol CCPP) in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

These power plants were connected to the Russian power grids. Thus, the suspect harmed Ukraine's energy security and contributed to Crimea's dependence on Russia in the energy sector.

According to law enforcement, in 2022, the suspect, as the owner of the management company JSC Design Bureau of Automatic Lines named after Koshkin, provided ammunition for various types of small arms to the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces and other enemy military formations.

The suspect is likely to have supplied the Russian military with large quantities of ammunition throughout the entire period of full-scale aggression against Ukraine.

Giner was served in absentia with a notice of suspicion of facilitating actions aimed at changing the boundaries of the territory and state border of Ukraine, which caused grave consequences by prior agreement of a group of persons. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.

  • On July 11, the High Anti-Corruption Court nationalized a shopping center, a bank, and a factory owned by Russian oligarchs close to the Kremlin based on the State Bureau of Investigation's materials. As a result, the state budget received assets worth billions of hryvnias.
