Ukraine says deployment of US aircraft to Estonia benefits stability on NATO's eastern flank
The US deployment of F-22s to Estonia is a serious intention to maintain stability on NATO's eastern flank and to limit Russia's ability to escalate
This was stated by the spokesman of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuriy Ihnat on Espreso.
He emphasized that the F-22 is a legendary aircraft that the United States does not provide to anyone, so the transfer of these aircraft to Estonia indicates serious intentions and should serve as a clear signal to Russia that escalation should not occur.
"The fact that such aircraft, which are not available anywhere else but in America, are being deployed shows the serious intentions of the United States to maintain peace, stability and order on the eastern flank of NATO countries. Sweden and Finland are already de facto members of NATO, and so the reinforcement there is a clear signal to Russia that there should be no escalation. Every time Russia hints at the use of some prohibited weapon, NATO Allies are more consistent, clear and focused than ever. This is no longer the time when Russia could intimidate. Everyone has seen the true power of Russia, what it can do and how much we can trust its promises," the spokesman said.
