Ukraine holds initiative in most frontline areas - British intelligence
British intelligence claims that despite heavy fighting, Ukraine holds the initiative in most frontline areas
The British Ministry of Defence shared the information on Twitter.
Amid an extremely difficult operational situation, heavy fighting continues in many parts of the frontline.
"In most areas Ukraine holds the initiative," the report says.
Russian forces are still likely receiving orders to resume the offensive as soon as possible. Recently, Chechen units made an unsuccessful attempt to seize the town of Marinka, located near Donetsk. The front line in that area has seen minimal changes since 2015.
The report also notes that the level of flooding in the Kherson region continues to rise.
“Through 07 June 2023, flood levels continued to rise in the lower Dnipro, following the collapse of the Kakhovka Dam, but will likely start to recede during 08 June 2023. Shelling has complicated some attempts to evacuate displaced civilians from inundated areas," the intelligence report says.

Combat activity at the frontline significantly increased within 48 hours, starting from June 6. The surge impacted multiple areas, including those that had been relatively calm for several months.
