Ukraine has no future without EU and NATO membership - Ukraine’s diplomat Omelyan
Diplomat Volodymyr Omelyan is convinced that the only consequence of the war should be Ukraine's accession to NATO and the EU
He expressed this opinion on the Espreso TV channel
"I am happy that in his 4th year in office, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has finally set real goals for Ukraine, not fake ones. Because without membership in the European Union and NATO, Ukraine will have no future, no matter how many lives we sacrifice for it. It is a pity that at such a very high price, our government is changing its position on joining NATO, but we have what we have and we need to stay on this track," Omelyan said.
The politician emphasized that Ukraine is facing a difficult post-war period
"The government's economic policy has completely failed. During the year and a half of war, we have not been able to build a war economy. Also, our state is not ready for the post-war period. Unfortunately, this is a bitter truth. And I would not want the political elites to realize this only when Ukrainians earn $1 a day," he added.
