US presidential candidate suggests destroying Russian army
The United States is interested in destroying the Russian army to prevent the need to send troops to protect NATO countries
US presidential candidate, Republican Senator Tim Scott, said this, according to Breitbart News.
When asked about increasing military aid to Ukraine, Scott proposed to "destroy the Russian army to the extent possible."
"Bottom line is, we have to first have the level of accountability that allows the American people to understand where the resources have gone, number one. Number two: after we have that responsibility taken care of and accountability, then we have an opportunity to look at the overall strategy that helps us degrade the Russian military while we use our resources. Frankly, keeping our NATO partners safe from the Russian military is absolutely essential," Scott said.
According to him, the fastest way to avoid the risk of US troops being involved in a war is to "destroy the Russian army to the extent possible."
Tim Scott is a senator from South Carolina. He was one of the five participants in the Republican primary debate.
