To the adherents of official "WhatIfology"

I saw that a poll was already being conducted on a Telegram channel about who would you vote for if... 62 percent for Zelenskyy. If... And let's imagine if... Let's just look into an alternative reality

client/title.list_title

If... If the 300 conscripts, who for some reason were left alone to defend the airport in Hostomel, had dropped their weapons when they saw Russian paratroopers and fled. If Tetyana Chornovil hadn't taken missiles from the Stugna anti-tank system in her car and hit the first tank on the road near Brovary. If thousands of volunteers had not taken weapons and rushed to defend Kyiv. If an unknown hero had not held the dam in Kozarovychi and the enemy had captured it and the water of the Kyiv Sea had flooded Demydy. If ordinary people hadn't resisted and pointed artillery at enemy columns. If the pilots had not taken off into the sky, leaving the aviation under enemy missiles. If the current government had imprisoned General Marchenko and he had not gone to save Mykolaiv. If the enemy had broken through Mykolaiv and reached Uman. If the Territorial Defense of Sumy had not locked the enemy in the Sumy region and the Russian columns had reached Kyiv. If the military and volunteers had not held Chernihiv. If General Kryvonos had not blocked Zhuliany for the enemy.

“If the 300 conscripts, who for some reason were left alone to defend the airport in Hostomel, had dropped their weapons when they saw Russian paratroopers and fled. If Tetyana Chornovil hadn't taken missiles from the Stugna anti-tank system in her car and hit the first tank on the road near Brovary. If thousands of volunteers had not taken weapons and rushed to defend Kyiv”

If millions of people hadn't given the last of their money to the army. If businessmen, hounded by the authorities, had not donated billions of their declared money to the army and humanitarian aid, but had sat somewhere on warm shores, giving the right to donate to billionaires from the Presidential Office. If it were not for the nameless and fallen heroes from all those villages and towns where the enemy expected flowers and received fire. If it were not for our friends who took in millions of refugees and provided tanks, diesel fuel and shells when it was not clear whether Ukraine would stand or not. If everything had been decided by one heroic person, whom the telegram channel pleases with excellent ratings, who decided everything by himself.

If only... And when you weigh everything on the scales, honestly and without political sympathies, you will immediately feel the weight of what is not mentioned in the United News telethon and the insignificance of what is given great weight. People of this country have to survive and later say at what cost and how much easier it would be if someone had paid attention to the army and the war at least once in three years. And not by looking into Putin's eyes, but by looking into the eyes of combat generals and veterans. Although, the generals were either on trial or were thrown to the periphery of life, and the veterans were marching when the residents of the Pechersk Hills were already leaving the Maidan. And these residents were not visible behind the tight circles of security guards.

“I would have voted for a parliamentary republic with no random oligarchic parties in the parliament, formed in a sauna after a concert, so that no more "Brezhnevs" would walk around with medals and stars on their chests, distracted for a while from writing the one hundred and thirty-fifth volume of a book about the war”

If... If the elections were held tomorrow... I would vote for a parliamentary republic with no random oligarchic parties in the parliament, formed in a sauna after a concert, so that no more “Brezhnevs” would walk around with medals and stars on their chests, distracted for a while from writing the one hundred and thirty-fifth volume of a book about the war in which he defeated everyone to read out a text written by someone else on camera.

If only... This people held the country together without commands or orders. Often abandoned and betrayed by the security forces, often unarmed and deceived. Believing only in their neighbor Uncle Liosha, who took out an enemy mine with his hands, or in Grandma Horpyna, who poisoned the enemies with soup. And believing the army, to whom they provided the coordinates of Russian positions, risking being shot.

As for those dreamers who wish they could... Let them finally remember: this war proved once and for all that a strong arm did not save anyone, hands did. Millions of hands that, without any orders from Bankova Street, simply showed the enemy a fig sign. If people want to see this fig somewhere else, you can write ratings. And publish them in millions of copies. Just like the works of the greatest writer of our time. Of course, at public expense.
