Iryna Yurchenko, the mother of Azov squadron soldier Dmytro Kozatskyi, said that she receives requests from all over the world for permission to use Dmytro’s photos of Azovstal in photo exhibitions covering the Russian war on Ukraine.
She said this in a live interview for the Espreso TV channel.
"My son’s photos from Azovstal are very touching. It's just incredible. Their deeds and their self-sacrifice. Now I understand that my son has done a great feat and a cry that is spreading all over the world. Because when we hear about war and bombings, it’s one thing, and when we see everything, we feel completely differently. Photos of our wounded soldiers, their mutilated bodies. It's hard to go through, but when you look into their eyes, you see a person full of life," said Ms. Iryna.
Iryna also added that the photo of her son Dmytro Kozatsky will leave a memory of our military from Azovstal feat of for millennia.
"These photos will leave a memory of our military’s achievement. Thanks to my son's photos, the whole world will see the conditions under which our military held back the Russian occupants. He asked me to do everything I can for the whole world to see these photos. His photos have already received an award in Poland and they’re waiting for him to personally award him. And now I and all of Ukraine must do everything to make our heroes from Azovstal not get forgotten,” - Iryna added.
