"The city is returning to life": soldiers with 14th Brigade show liberated Kupiansk
Soldiers with the 14th Detached Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great have shown what Kupiansk in Kharkiv region, recently liberated from the invading Russian forces, looks like now
This was announced on the brigade's Facebook page, Espreso.West reports.
"The first thing that the soldiers with the 14th Detached Mechanized Brigade did in liberated Kupiansk was to paint over one of the signs at the entrance to the city, drawn by the occupiers like their tricolor rag. The guys only regret that they did not have time to change the name of the city into the Ukrainian language," the message says.
The fighters also said that de-occupied Kupiansk is now sparsely populated and quiet, and people are gradually getting used to the fact that they can not be afraid.
"Seeing cars with Ukrainian flags and the Ukrainian military on the street, they wave their hands in a friendly manner, hurry to say "Glory to Ukraine!" and say these words like a forgotten prayer... Many cry without hiding, and these tears simply tear the soul... - Thank you for waiting for us! Thank you for persevering, - we manage to say during a few seconds of eye contact... Liberated Kupiansk is slowly coming back to life. It, like hundreds of other liberated settlements, knows the colossal price of freedom...", the brigade emphasized.
