Russia can't keep advancing: It is running out of reserves
Ukrainian Army General and head of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service (2005-2010) Mykola Malomuzh believes that Russia's pauses in offensive actions are due to the depletion of their reserves and resources
He expressed this opinion on Espresso TV.
"Today, we have a certain advantage on the battlefield. The defense forces have managed to regain control over certain sectors, particularly in the Kursk, Kharkiv, and Kupiansk directions. The Armed Forces of Ukraine have also managed to reclaim several positions in Chasiv Yar. Additionally, on the Pokrovsk direction, we managed to carry out a series of counterstrikes. However, Russia continues to advance partially. In fact, today we are witnessing a fluctuating and complex process of combat operations," Malomuzh said.
According to the general, the Russians have no prospects of capturing the entire Pokrovsk sector, although they are advancing partially in this direction.
"On the Pokrovsk direction, the Russians is concentrating its maximum efforts. The Russians have gathered over 80,000 personnel in this direction. It is worth noting that the Russians have reduced the number of attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in this area. This is because their resources are still depleting. The Russians do not have the striking resources for continuous offensive operations. That is why they periodically take breaks and then resume their assault actions. This particularly applies to the Pokrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kursk directions. In this way, they are trying to slightly improve their positions. However, they have no prospects of capturing the entire Pokrovsk sector," he added.
- Yuriy Fedorenko, commander with the 429th Separate Achilles Drone Regiment, says that in the Kupyansk sector, where several brigades are operating, Russian forces haven't made any advances on the battlefield for the past three weeks.
