Ukrainian journalist Andriy Tsaplienko shared the information on his Telegram channel.
The operation began with portable anti-aircraft systems targeting a pair of attack aircraft. One of them was shot down, and the pilot attempted to eject.
Ukrainian FPV drones then targeted a Russian Mi-8 helicopter, which was attempting to evacuate the downed pilot from the Su-25 fighter aircraft destroyed by the 28th Brigade fighters.
As a result, the Russians abandoned their evacuation mission, as the drones severely damaged the Mi-8. The Russian crew deemed the helicopter more important than the downed pilot and his rescuers.
- Ukrainian sources confirm that strike drones can now carry 250 kg bombs, with a recent attack by an unmanned regiment targeting sites in Russia's Bryansk region.
