Russia's artillery superiority decreased fivefold over past year - Ukraine’s top general
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that Russia's artillery advantage has decreased from 10:1 to 2:1 over the past year
He shared the information on Facebook.
"A year ago, Russian forces had approximately a 10:1 advantage in artillery munitions. Today, this ratio has shrunk to nearly 2:1," Syrskyi reported.
He thanked partner countries for supplying ammunition and praised domestic arms manufacturers for increasing production and strengthening the front with weapons and military equipment marked Made in Ukraine.
"This was also made possible by our targeted efforts to destroy Russian artillery. Over the past year, we have eliminated around 13,050 Russian artillery systems (compared to 8,400 in the previous two years). Successful counter-battery warfare, combined with drone operations, is putting an end to Russia's dominance on the battlefield," the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.
- In 2025, signing three- and five-year contracts for arms and military equipment manufacturers should become the norm, stated Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
