Terror is intensifying: Russian occupiers shoot civilians in Zaporizhzhia region

This was announced by the mayor of Melitopol, Ivan Fedorov.

According to him, residents of Melitopol witnessed Russian soldiers shooting at civilians in Vasylivka command post.

 "Melitopol has a sacred meaning for the occupiers. In order to break the resistance, the invaders increase the pressure on local residents. Melitopol residents are subjected to torture - in order to extract confessions of non-existent crimes.

Property is being looted, and they are hiding behind allegedly discovered "saboteur caches", where the occupiers themselves throw the uniforms and even the ID cards of the Ukrainian servicemen,” Fedorov said.

In addition, civilians are kidnapped to dig trenches.  There are still many crimes committed by the Russian forces, which will all become known after the de-occupation.

Despite the threats and torture, the residents of Meliotopol are resisting, the city's mayor noted.  Because of this, "collaborators live in fear as the Soviet monuments are covered with paint, and blue and yellow leaflets constantly appear in the city."
