Strikes on Crimean Bridge are premature, inappropriate - Zgurets

He shared his opinion with Espreso TV. 

"If we talk about the destruction of the Crimean Bridge, then it has two components. One of them is of a military, political and informational nature, when strikes on the Crimean Bridge will lead to a completely different level of panic on the peninsula, and on the other hand - the presence of real opportunities and current  feasibility of strikes on this bridge. Oleksii Danylov, the Secretary of the National Security Council, has said that this is a really important target, but we will start striking as soon as there are appropriate opportunities", the military expert commented.

Serhii Zghurets noted that the bridges are extremely strong structures and their destruction is part of the plans of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but at the appropriate stage. And now the use of long-range weapons or other means of destruction is concentrated directly on objects that affect the enemy's combat capability, in order to slow down the actions of the Russian Federation and change their approaches to raising ammunition.

"Strikes on the Crimean Bridge, even with a significant number of planned actions, today seem premature, given the military capabilities and effect. If we throw all our efforts into the destruction of the Crimean Bridge, then at the current stage it will not seem appropriate. That is why the Ukrainian army is not engaged in this yet. But striking the bridge is a real task at a certain stage, but so far it is premature", Zghurets explained.
