As reported by the press service, international freediving competitions organized by AIDA began in Dominica on November 25. Sadurska had planned to break the record on the first day of the competition, but bad weather and rain prevented her from reaching the goal.
On November 26, she made another attempt and successfully set a new world record in the CNF (Constant Weight No Fins) discipline, diving to 82 meters.
“I dedicate this victory to Ukraine, our defenders, and everyone who supports our country during this difficult time,” said Sadurska after her successful dive.
The previous record was 80 meters.
