Small Russian-occupied villages in Luhansk are slowly dying
Locals have been living without electricity for over a year in some villages in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region. Russia fails to carry out any repairs
This was stated by the head of the Luhansk regional military administration, Artem Lysohor.
"The enemy took control of some small villages last year, and these villages are slowly dying. The Russians seem to ignore them and show no interest in their condition," he wrote.
He mentioned that the people living in these occupied villages have been without electricity for over a year, and other communications are also damaged. He added that there is no assistance provided to these villages, not even before the so-called "first elections."
“The Russians believe that only a small portion of the population lives there, so they don't care,” he said.
He also pointed out that the Russian military is now seeking places to stay in larger settlements in the Luhansk region.
“However, it's becoming increasingly challenging for them because the apartments and houses they used to find suitable a year ago are now in poor condition and many are vacant due to multiple rotations of Russian soldiers,” he noted.
