Shot by Russian soldiers at close range: another crime documented in Kharkiv region
Kharkiv police have documented another crime of the Russian army – the shooting of three civilians at close range in their car in Izyum, Kharkiv region of eastern Ukraine.
Kharkiv police reported about the crime on their Telegram.
When a convoy of Russian soldiers entered Izyum on March 7, a car with three civilian men was moving towards them. The youngest of the men just turned 20 on February 24. Russian soldiers shelled the car killing him, his 46-year-old father, and a 56-year-old family friend.
According to Tymur Tertyshnyi, the deputy head of the Izyum district administration, the car burned down after the shelling. Close friends of the deceased buried their remains at the local cemetery.
"Explosives technicians, investigative team, criminalists and experts conducted necessary work at the shelling place and on the bank of a small river, where the car fell afterwards, as well as at the burial site. One more crime of the Russian invaders has been carefully documented," the police say.
On Monday, October 31, the police exhumed the remains of the deceased from the cemetery in Izyum. Criminal proceedings have been opened under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).
