Russia's Interior Ministry puts Ukraine's spy chief Budanov on wanted list. Ukraine’s Intelligence responds
The Russian Interior Ministry has put Ukraine's Defense Intelligence Chief, Kyrylo Budanov, on the wanted list
RIA Novosti and TASS report this.
"The Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kyrylo Budanov, who is accused of terrorism, has been put on the wanted list. This follows from the database of the Russian Interior Ministry," the statement reads. However, the agency's database does not specify under which article he is wanted.
What Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence says
In a commentary to Liga.NET, Andriy Yusov, a representative of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence, urged not to look for logic in the actions of Russian "law enforcement officers".
"This is support for propaganda. Budanov has a whole collection of such idiotic decisions. This is another indicator of the effective work of the intelligence service and Budanov personally. The main decision ahead is the decision of the international tribunal on the actions of Russian war criminals," Yusov said.
- On November 20, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs put Ukrainian singer of Crimean Tatar origin Jamala on the wanted list.
